I graduated from Terry Parker High School in Jacksonville, Florida in 2001. I proceeded to attend college at Florida Community College at Jacksonville where I received my AA degree. At that time I wasn't sure what I wanted to pursue in my career so I proceeded to work lots of different types of jobs including; a Mall Security Guard, Telemarketing in-bound and out-bound, A photographer for Sears portrait studio, Assistant Managers at Radio Shack, David's Bridal, and Petco. In 2007 I decided I wanted to leave Florida for something new, including a boy who I was madly in love with and made my way up to Lowell, Massachusetts to begin my new adventure. I purchased my first DSLR (Nikon D70) before leaving and was able to capture load of nature while hiking around the New England area. Photography became something I really enjoyed. I then began working for a local hospitals billing/accounting department where I met a lot of wonderful people. In this process I was asked to capture memories for some of them, slowly be referred out to friends of friends. In 2011 I decided I would like to try this thing at photography and started by capturing weddings, families and dogs. I found that I liked working with dogs the best and weddings the least. In October 2011 we found out we were expecting our first bundle of joy and so many friends and family were too! This is when the interest of babies came in for me. Of course you see all those adorable images online of the sleeping, peaceful baby all curled in cute positions. I thought, "I can do THAT!" I will tell you that I could not at first. There is a massive learning curve to this specific niche in the photography world and it was extremely intriguing. After the first few newborns were an epic fail of flailing and screaming with no sleepy and adorable images I got to work researching. Back in 2012 there was little available like there is today for education so it was a lot of trial and error. With each newborn little light bulbs would go off and I was excited to keep trying new ideas and options to achieve the goals I set for myself. It took years and lots and lots of newborns but I made it. It's been some of the best and most rewarding years of my life. I was able to capture these fleeting memories for not only my clients but of my own child and every growing family. I'm thankful everyday for the opportunity to be so involved in my clients lives at such a beautiful time in theirs. From the bottom of my heart I thank you all for making my job more thank just that. You've made it my career and passion in life. I am so very blessed.
